Story
Hey everyone thanks for taking the time to look at my page!
Well I did the Hitch in my first and second years and am about to take part in the adventure once again! Im justifiying this decision during my busy Masters year by commiting all the time spent waiting for lifts towards reading text books etc. If I remeber correctly there was a lot of waiting!
Im hoping to be awarded top fundraiser in the UK for this event so anything you can donate, no matter how small really will put me closer to getting this accolade! Just giving sends out an automated response but I thank every single person who has ever donated towards an event im taking part in and I dont forget that generosity. You will probably make your money back in drinks I buy you anyway! : D
P.S any students at Swansea University, keep an eye out for my Charity Pots scattered around the campus! Why carry those coppers which will eventually give you back problems etc? ; )
What is the Charity all about?
By sponsoring me whatever you can give will make an enormous difference and help so many people less fortunate in the poorest parts of Africa. Link is an extremely worthwhile cause dedicated on improving the quality of education and life for over half a million children in the most deprived parts of the country. Whats really great about this Charity is they focus on the smaller more rural schools that are often missed by others. Link also follows up their projects. Rather than just putting thier money into an improvement, they will come go back to the shcool and make sure that the money is making the maximum possible difference. Heres an idea of what your donation will go to:
£10 can buy a desk
£20 Can pay for Literacy training for two teachers
£50 Can pay for Aids/HIV training for five teachers
£500 Can pay for one school development grant
I want to thank everyone already for their positive response that drives me to work harder, it really is terrific!
