Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I will once again be putting my body through it's paces and my running shoes to run the London Marathon for the Bobby Moore Fund this year. I have chosen the Bobby Moore Fund for a number of reasons. Bobby Moore is an inspiration to me and many others - he is affectionately remembered by many English sports fans. He is undoubtedly a national hero.

The Bobby Moore Fund is a great cause, raising funds for research into bowel cancer, the disease from which Bobby died and which still claims the lives of 44 people every day in the UK. It is the second highest cause of cancer death in the UK, so please help tackle bowel cancer and sponsor me today.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you so much and best wishes,

Charlie

PS rest assured i am training like a mad crazy woman!
