Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Starting in less than month, it's going to be 4 days , 7hours a day, and 300 miles in the saddle - up and over the South Downs and then over the hills of northern France before finishing under the Eiffel Tower.

Having ridden a bike once since I passed my driving test, the event should be something of a challenge. I have been training for one week thus far with some success, but sadly I only three weeks to left to get in shape. So rest assured I should get minimal enjoyment out of the event. At the moment I am consoling myself with the prospect of looking super hot in head to toe spandex.

I'll be doing it with 6 work colleagues and we've got to raise over £1,000 each for our charity - 'for Dementia'. This charity provides support to both those suffering directly from dementia and their carers, a truly worthwhile cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dementia Relief Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks for your support.
