Story

Hi

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

On the 18th January 2007 my Dad died very suddenly of DVT caused by a Badminton injury to his ankle. He was 57.

I  run the 10k (I really did it and run all the way!) London run to raise money for Lifeblood, the only charity in the UK which researches blood clots, their causes and aims to create awareness. With a greater awareness we can hopefully detect blood clots at an earlier stage and therefore stop fatal embolisms.

I did training leading up to the event (although some said not enough!) it saw me through and I completed the course in 70 minutes running all the way. My running buddy and I managed to have a sprint finish with the major reading out my charity as I run past (obviously I was not going as fast as I thought!)

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Lifeblood: The Thrombosis Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
