Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Heres a bit about me and what I'm doing...

As many of you already know I am running the Virgin London Marathon in 2011, for The Variety Club.

Over the past two years I have supported the Variety Club by raising money for this fantastic charity as part of my Miss England bid. Along with your help I have raised over £5000 for the Variety Club and am aiming to raise a load more in the new year.

As part of running for a charity there is a minimum sponsorship that you have to agree to raise in order to secure your place. So not only am I going to be training hard to get fit enough to run the 26.2 miles in April...but I am going to be working hard to smash my £1500 target! Please help...

The Variety Club works to help improve the lives of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people up to the age of 19 years across the UK.

Their work ranges from providing Sunshine Coaches and funding major hospital appeals to providing basic items that will improve the lives of individual children. Each year they donate electric wheelchairs, specialist beds, car seats, sensory equipment, standing frames and many other items that can change the life of a child in need.

Traditionally the "showbiz" charity, they benefit from much celebrity patronage as well as wide public and corporate support. Their greatest strength lies in the dedicated army of volunteers from all walks of life, who give so generously their time and energies to deliver almost all of the work and activities.

Here's how the money helps...

£5 - this small amount could send  a child on a life changing experience with Variety at work.

£50 - could buy specialist sensory toys to aid in a child's development.

£300 - could be the small change which makes a big difference in the life of a child and their family.

£6,000 - could give freedom with a Variety Club Easy Riders electric wheelchair.

£25,000 - could give independence with a specially designed Sunshine Coach.

Now you're all half way there- you've visited the page and you've seen what its all about, thats the easy bit! Show your support and have a heart, please dig deep and give below...Thank you.
