On Sunday 22nd May 2016, up to 18,000 riders will roll across the start line in the heart of Cardiff and embark on a completely closed road cycling sportive that takes in some of Wales' most breath-taking scenery. Offering a challenging route, Velothon Wales is a superb opportunity to test riders endurance.

The 140km route is a challenging route, incorporating two famous and notoriously difficult climbs. Riders will leave Cardiff to the east, visiting Newport and Usk, before entering the Brecon Beacons National Park to tackle the legendary Tumble climb - a highlight of stage 3 at this year's Tour of Britain and home to Velothon Wales' King of the Mountain challenge.

The route then heads south via Pontypool and Newbridge on its way to Caerphilly for one final climb up the stunning Caerphilly mountain, before finishing with a fast decent towards the finish line located in the heart of Cardiff city centre.

Total climb 1826 metres

We have an 18 strong team from Peacocks made up of head office colleagues and
store managers from across the UK who are taking on the challenge. Our aim is to raise £10,000 for Cancer Research UK and we need your support and donations!

Please sponsor any individuals or the team collectively on this page.
