Story
Following on from last years successful pudding day and with so many of you asking "if you can have another one this year" – Puds and the Pudettes will be coming out of retirement for one day only on the 19th November when we hope to cook 100 Christmas puddings. Puds will then be putting in an appearance in Cardiff on the 20th to distribute any puddings ordered (they should still be warm!).
Puddings are available on a first come, first served basis, so the first 100 people to donate on this site will be the ones to get their hands on a Pud!
As you are no doubt aware some of us went to Tanzania for 2 weeks earlier in the year to do some voluntary work helping to refurbish the Bukumbi care centre for the Bridge2aid charity. This was a fantastic and challenging experience and as an ongoing commitment to the great work that Bridge2aid is doing all money raised from the sale of Christmas puddings will be again donated to this cause.
Bridge2aid (http://www.bridge2aid.org/) is a UK registered charity operating dental and community development programmes in North West Tanzania. It provides primary dental care and education whilst equipping and training local people as health care professionals.
The puddings will be made to a traditional family recipe, suitable for vegetarians and supplied in a foil basin with a lid. They will be ready to steam or boil for 2 hours on Christmas day, or before if you cannot wait that long!! A 1kg pudding, serving up to 8-10 people will cost £10.
Thank you for your support,
Puds & The Pudettes
