Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Chequers Inn Public House can be found in Hall End, Wootton, Bedford. The Chequers Ryder Cup has been in existence for 7 years and is an annual event. Played between the early evening drinkers and late evening drinkers of the pub. Two teams of twelve compete for a cup. The competition takes place on a given Saturday in the year and consists of a pairs competition in the morning played as greensomes and then a singles matchplay competition in the afternoon. Currently the two sides have three wins each and this year will be the deciding year for the retention of the cup.

This year we are raising money on the day to support a very worthy cause, HELP for HEROES. Various fund raising exercises will be held before the day and on the day itself. We have various sponsors already donating on the day but would welcome other sponsors as well. Please help us in our aim.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
