Story

September 2009 .... Andy, Hannah and baby Lucas are heading off to Europe on Landy Rally 2009!

Over 3200 miles across 12 countries in 10 days.

We've decided to try and raise £1500, as this will pay the wage of two carers for a year at a childrens care facility in Belarus.  As well as helping the children suffering radiation related illnesses (by being away from the contaminated areas, and under the care of professionals), the care facility offers the families of the children a few days rest and catch up every so often, knowing that their children are being looked after and amongst friends.

Just a few pounds a day helps upto six families at a time cope better with the legacy of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Chernobyl Children's Project (UK) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
