My story
Surviving Winter Cornwall is a local campaign associated with the UK-wide appeal encouraging individuals to make donations to help older and vulnerable people affected by the cold winter.
All donations made to Surviving Winter Cornwall will be targeted directly to help local elderly vulnerable people struggling.
My updates 3
If you are not fuel-poor, think about donating some or all of your Winter Fuel Payment. You could help an older person to survive this winter. You can donate at www.survivingwinter.org.uk or localgiving.com. Any money you donate will be spent locally
Winter is a dangerous time for Cornwall’s older people.24% of households are in fuel poverty, rising to 40% in parts of Cornwall. Fuel poverty causes serious health problems including heart attacks and strokes. There are around 342 ‘excess’ deaths in Cornwall in winter each year
We have re-launched this page so we can once again raise funds to help vulnerable people in need throughout Cornwall this winter.
