There are eleven men taking part in this sponsored walk on Saturday the 10 April 2010 from Chester to Hale (Distance Approx 30 miles) to raise money for Christies Hospital.(Andrew Valentine,Mark Valentine,Julian Valentine,Adam Valentine,Christian Valentine,Simon Mudd,Mark Peters,Matt Roberts,Paul Gozem, Gareth Shaw,David Smith.) We were motivated to do this walk for Christian Valentine(aged 20) who has been a patient at Christies for nearly 2 years and is still undergoing treatment.We all wish him well and hope the money raised will help him and others to receive better care in the future.
A huge thank you to the boys for taking part,it was a great effort by all and an amazing achievement,the money raised far exceeded our expectations,thank you to all those who have donated.Thank you to Mark and Julie for all their help and assistance with this event,thank you to Gareth and Matt for their help with the route plan.Finally a big thank you to Julie for her roadside assistance on the day which was much appreciated by all.
