Hey Everyone
Due to health concerns expressed by family & partner I have decided to change my decision to bungee jump. INSTEAD I will be aiming to run ( WALK & SURVIVE ;) ) the Bristol Half Marathon (homepage) on September the 6th 2009 for Bristol's Headway Brain Injury Association at Frenchay hospital. Being a greedy little girl when comes to raising money for charity the target will remain 500 pounds but of course I will be running for less if need be.
I've been working as a volunteer for them since the beginning of the year and I value this experience greatly because not only has it provided me with a better understanding of the trauma associated with neurobehavioural language impairments and the impact it can have but also because it has opened my eyes real world implications of a psychology degree which as some of you may know can at times seem void of meaning.
Therefore I feel that I owe something back and I happen to believe that helping whats local is more important and beneficial to changing society.
