Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page for Chelsea Children’s Hospital; a new state-of-the-art paediatric centre at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital  

 

In 2009, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital became the lead provider of specialist paediatric care for Northwest London, based on the quality of its services, staff and health outcomes.

A major redevelopment of our paediatric services and facilities is fundamental to us fulfilling our lead role in young Londoners’ healthcare. The NHS Foundation Trust has invested £40 million in a major redevelopment to create Chelsea Children’s Hospital, which will open in full in December 2013. We are leading a fundraising campaign to deliver £1.2 million of vital enhancements which will mean we not only provide outstanding levels of care but also greatly improve our young patients’ experience before, during and after their stay, offering real comfort and support to them and their families.

  

Having secured £1million of our £1.2million fundraising target for vital enhancements at Chelsea Children's Hospital, we are now looking to raise the last £200,000 to fund:

 

·         A chill out area for teenagers complete with education, relaxation areas and multimedia

·         A state-of-the-art simulation unit to train paediatric surgeons from all over the UK

·         Comfortable and high quality parents' accommodation on-site

·         Outstanding visual design work, much of it interactive, to stimulate the imagination, provide distraction from treatment and humanise the environment

 

Our new hospital will ensure that our 85,000 young patients receive world-class healthcare, in a stimulating environment which promotes wellbeing for them, their families and carers.
