We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Hi again!

After having done 'COLD' (Husky Sledding in the Arctic) in 2006, 'HOT' (Desert Trek in Namibia) in 2007, 'UP' (Machu Picchu Trek in Peru) in 2008 and 'TO THE TOP' (Kilimanjaro Trek in Tanzania) in 2009, this year I'm going to walk for many miles along The Great Wall of China! I will walk for up to 8 hours a day, near and on the undulating Great Wall, over mountains and through forests, staying overnight in tents, and at home with Chinese people as well. I'm going with 'Across the Divide' again, a British charity organisation, who will also donate money to local villages, and their inhabitants, we travel through, to enhance sanitary and educational facilities.

Personally I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK, a charity close to my heart: my mum died of cancer 5 years ago and I'd like to try and help prevent other people suffering the same fate. ALL MONEY raised will go 100% to CR UK, as I've funded the entire trek myself!!! Please help me raise much needed funds for this worthwhile charity.

As usual all sponsors will be invited to my by now usual 'post trek photoshow and presentation'.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks,

Pete
