The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children is a registered charity, which offers practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people up to and including the age of 21, who are living with cancer, and their families.
Two children are diagnosed with cancer every week in Northern Ireland, leaving two more families to cope with a level of devastation that is almost impossible for most of us to comprehend.
This is going to be a huge challenge for us, especially for 3 high maintenance girls who are used to having their fake tan, straighteners and life's little luxuries! Not only will we be without these but we will also have to trek up to 9 hours per day for 5 consecutive days over rough and hilly terrain, not to mention climbing one thousand of steps at Mutinayu!!!
For the next 10 months we will be giving up our social life to train and hold fundraising events. Some of the fundraising events we are hoping to run include 'Hug in a Mug', 'Winter Woolies Walk' and 'Flag Days'. You may also find us at local events shaking our buckets.
We are also willing to wear t-shirts on our trek to advertise for any of you local companies who may be reading this!
We will post out events on this website.
