Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Next May I will be taking part in a charity trek along part of the Great Wall of China organised by Skyline.

This challenge is not a holiday. I will be spending the next 9 months training and fundraising before undertaking a demanding physical challenge – trekking approx 12km a day across 7 days. This will all take a considerable amount of time and commitment, and at the centre of it all is the fact that it will be benefiting a fantastic charity – the British Heart Foundation.

My interest and support for the British Heart Foundation stems from a few years ago when my Dad had a heart attack. Luckily, he recovered well. Thanks to the research and effort put in by the BHF many more can be lucky like my Dad and conditions can be treated and even better, in some cases prevented.

This life saving work can only be continued with sufficient funds which is where challenges like this can help.

I have pledged to raise a minimum of £2650.

I have paid a non refundable deposit of £299 and am required to submit 80% of my sponsorship and pledges for the remaining 20% to the BHF by 12th Feb 2010. Out of this a minimum of £1457 will go directly towards the BHF's work. 100% of any money I raise over the minimum requirement will go directly to the BHF's lifesaving work.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
