At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thank you for supporting me to take part in Memory Walk this year and raise much needed funds for Alzheimer's Society.

I am doing this because 3 years ago Grandad was diagnosed with Dementia. It was heat breaking to see an independent, active man lose himself and struggle with the simplest of tasks. Sadly he has passed away now. As a family we felt that we lost him twice, once to Dementia and then finally when he past away.

Dementia has a devastating effect on families and any support that we can offer them will be very much appreciated.

Just £50 will pay for someone with dementia to go to a Dementia Café session every week for a month, where they can meet others, share experiences and feel less isolated. And the more I raise, the bigger the difference it will make.
