HEMS paramedics Chris Connor and Jason Hughes are Leaping into Action this year by taking part in this year’s WAAT4 Challenge. The WAAT4 event is an annual Team Navigation Challenge held in the Brecon Beacons National Park with the goal of raising as much money for charity as they can. This year WAAT4 is taking place on 23 June and is open everyone who wishes to take part provided they are in a team of at least four people. The team must consist of at least one designated navigator and two check navigators who are able to read maps. The entry fee is £75 per team, which covers the cost of the pack lunch each team receives, t-shirts and the hog roast. It has been decided this year that each team is required to raise a minimum of £200 in sponsorship to be donated to the supported charities. There are two courses available a tough 40km and a slightly easier 30km track, allowing for a wider range of walkers and navigators to take part.
