Story

OK ok ok.... It's time to stop eating chocolate, pizza, and drinking wine by the gallon. It's time to find my gym membership, dust down the running shoes and lose 30lbs (2 stone) before May 16 2010!

Sadly everytime I complete a BUPA Great Run, I celebrate my achievement by over-indulging in food and alcohol for the next 8 months, much like Ricky Hatton!

In the past, everyones generoisty has helped me raise:
- £2521 for Cancer Research
- £903 for MacMillan Nurses
- £688 for Diabetes!

I've decided to enter the BUPA Great Manchester 10k again this year (I didn't enjoy the Bupa Great Sheffield Run in 2009) and have nominated The Stroke Association as my chosen charity. Hopefully your donations will help me once again, reach or beat my target of £500.

Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke of which about ⅓ are likely to die within the first 10 days. ⅓ third make a recovery within one month and the remaining ⅓ are likely to be left disabled and needing rehabilitation.

The Stroke Association funds research into prevention, treatment and better methods of rehabilitation, and helps stroke patients and their families directly.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
