Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and hopefully donating.

I know that 37 miles isn't a long way to ride at all, not for most people. However, anyone who knows me, will know that my spindly legs and complete lack of application when it comes to training, are not a conducive combination when it comes to long-distance cycling. The furthest I have ever ridden in one go (since I turned 20 at least) is 19 miles!

However, egged-on by the lad and lasses at work, I will put myself and my bony bum through the mill to help raise funds for the Bring Joy Foundation, the charitable arm of the company I work for, Home Instead Senior Care. The Foundation does such good work for the elderly, but don't take my word for it... here's what Sam Brockelbank, its co-founder along with her husband Trevor, has to say:

"Getting older brings many challenges but it doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. From day trips to the seaside to stepping out at a vintage tea dance and from gardening to golf lessons, it’s never too late to learn something new or revisit a favourite former pastime or hobby. Our charity exists to fund the little things that can make a big difference to older people’s lives."

Please spare whatever you can to sponsor me. It really is a fantastic cause!

Thanks, Griff
