As you can see from the clipping on the left, I did it.
But the only thing which kept me going to the end was the knowledge of how much difference your contributions would make to MERLIN and the work they do to promote health in the most needy communities. For example
£10 can pay for 2,000 chlorine tablets for safe drinking water
£25 can pay for treatment to prevent HIV+ pregnant mothers passing the virus on to their babies
£50 could train a fisherman to promote HIV awareness in Kenya
£100 buy birthing kits for a community midwife to deliver 10 babies
They have people in all the world's hot spots - including Afghanistan, Myanmar, Congo, Darfur .... You can find more information by clicking here and meet some of the people involved here.
I knew how much it matters, so I kept going right to the end. And I will add my own donation on a pound for pound basis, effectively doubling yours, up to a maximum of £1,000.
