Story
Hello all you generous people!
I am running the London Marathon 2013 for the Lynda Jackson Macmillan center. Based at the hospital I work in, they do amazing work helping and supporting people through very difficult times. Cancer affects everyone and unfortunately I'm sure a lot of you know that. This is your chance to give some money and support the people who are there to give help when it is really needed.
This will be my second (and a half- does new york 2012 count?!) marathon and the first time I have asked for any money... all the more reason to dig deep and donate. How hard is it to take the wallet out of your pocket and give something? It's easier to do that than run 26.2 miles. Trust me. Blood (literally) and sweat have already gone into the training and I'm sure I can muster up some tears for a big donation.
Please please please give all you can- every penny helps. Thank you on behalf of all the cancer patients and their friends and relatives who use the center.
Chris (the ever reluctant athlete)
