WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

Story

Over the past 30 years Thames Water has donated over £15 million to WaterAid. In 2011 we marked WaterAid’s 30th birthday by setting up 'Thames 4 Bangladesh' - a four year programme to raise £1 million to support four Bangladeshi towns most in need by providing access to clean water and sanitation.

To help raise money for this programme, i'll be taking part in a fundraising cycle ride across London, from Beckton in the east, to Hampton in the west.

The riders set off from Beckton Sewage Treatment Works on Sunday 19th May.

During the ride I will cycle along the banks of the Thames crossing many bridges, through Richmond Park, past Teddington Lock and finally to Hampton Water Treatment Works.

So please dig deep and donate now.
