I seem to have got the marathon bug!  After three previous London Marathons I am still coming back for more.

This year I have been lucky enough to pick up a place in the ballot at the fourth time of asking but nevertheless I am looking to raise a bit of money for a worthy charity along the way.

Starlight do fantastic work with seriously and terminally ill children.  At the heart of their activities is the "granting of wishes"  - providing the child with a wonderful experience to provide a focus and some happiness amidst the challenging times they face.  This could be anything from a trip to Disneyland to a meeting with an idol from the world of sports or entertainment.  I would encourage you to take a look at their website to see some examples of what can be done.

If any of this strikes a chord with you, I would encourage to to make a donation to Starlight - it all helps towards providing a little joy in the lives of terribly ill children.
