Auditory Verbal UK is a small national charity which transforms the lives of deaf babies and children by teaching them to listen and speak. Auditory Verbal Therapy sessions are fun, play-based and provide parents with extra skills and confidence. Please visit www.avuk.org for further information.

Story

I will be running the Paris Marathon in April as well as running the Southdowns Marathon as part of a relay team later in the year.

I am running to raise money for Auditory Verbal Uk

As many of you know our 10 year old son Joseph was born profoundly deaf and now wears Cochlear Implants. When Joseph was a toddler and small child we regularly attended Auditory Verbal for speech and language therapy.

We are so grateful for all the help we received with teaching Joseph how to listen and speak and and would like other famillies to continue to experience the valuable work that Auditory Verbal provide.

They are an inspirational group of people

I appreciate that many of you get innundated with charity requests, but it's been a long winter training for this and I would be very grateful for any level of donation.

Thank you
