Mind your step 2019 is a 45 mile walk taking place on the 22nd June 2019, from Ladybower reservoir to Derby City Centre in aid of Mind. Starting at 5am, the target is to arrive into Derby at around 8pm.

Every two hours, someone in England and Wales takes their own life. 

Suicide is the leading cause of death among young people aged 20-34 years in the UK and it is considerably higher in men, with around three times as many men dying as a result of suicide compared to women.

It is the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK.
Those at highest risk are men aged between 40 and 44 years who have a rate of 24.1 deaths per 100,000 population.

One in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem in any given year.

Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
