Kilimanjaro Challenge · 13 March 2015

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year it was a triathlon and a 100 mile bike ride, this year I have decided to up my game. I have previously done the three peaks challenge; hiking up Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis... only I didn't complete it in 24 hours, it took me over 4 years! I am now faced with the prospect of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 6 days. I've grown a beard, bought lots of high tech mountain equipment (all the gear and no idea comes to mind) and packed plenty of plasters. I am now ready to go... well almost.

I will be tackling Kilimanjaro with a group of former work colleagues Ben, Sarah, Dan and his brother Richard.

We are fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease Association. Dan and Richard's mum had MND and sadly passed away a few weeks ago. To date, Dan and Richard have raised over £20,000 in her name. We hope this challenge will raise even more funding for research and care provided by the MNDA. Any support you can give would be much appreciated.
