Team Typhoon Cycle to RAF Coningsby · 2 September 2008

Our vision is a world where people with Tourette Syndrome (TS) get the practical support and social acceptance they need to live their lives to the full. We aid their inclusion in education, work, and society throughout their lives, and support research and aim to raise awareness.

Story

Ever found it difficult to hold your tongue in a stressful situation (meetings with senior management for example )?  For people with Tourettes Syndrome it's more than difficult; it's not possible.  This leads to all sorts of issues including social rejection and discrimination.  Team Typhoon members from both BAES Warton and MoD Abbey Wood are cycling to RAF Coningsby (the home of Typhoon) to raise money for good causes; I am raising money for Tourettes Action which enables practical support and social help for TS sufferers.  The ride is over 186 miles and whilst I'd like to look like Chris Hoy when I finish I'm sure the 'old man of Hoy' will be more fitting!  I'd be very grateful if you'd sponsor me.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Tourettes Action gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks very much!
