Today, 100 people will begin to lose their sight. The Wiltshire Blind Association is the only charity dedicated to the blind and partially sighted living in Swindon and Wiltshire. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I would like to raise money for Wiltshire Blind Association as sight is so important for all the activities that I enjoy doing.  I just don't know where I would be without it...so I would like to help those that are in what I would consider must be a nightmare situation.

I will be attempting to walk 350 miles in 8 days in the Canadian Arctic.  The event starts at the Arctic Circle (lat 66.33) and progresses North to the Arctic Ocean.  The last 120 miles uses the "ice road" seen on ice road truckers.  Temperatures are expected to fall to below -40C and strong winds will make this seem even colder.  This will be a very serious challenge for me.  Finishing is by no means guarenteed.  However difficult this challenge is, I can't imagine that it compares to being blind!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Wiltshire Blind Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thanks,  Chris.
