We met Daisy in the Spring of 2014 when she came to ride our ponies, Paddy and Rosie. Daisy and our daughter, Xanthe went to the same school and her parents had won the ride in the school Auction of Promises. Daisy was a delight; polite, cheerful and a pleasure to be with. A few weeks later, Xanthe came home to tell us that Daisy was poorly and couldn't come to school. Over the coming weeks and months we were to learn that Daisy had been diagnosed with DIPG, an incurable brain tumour. Xanthe was touched by Daisy's story as she had experienced a close family member being diagnosed with a brain tumour very recently. 

Daisy went on to take part in pioneering surgery in a bid to find a cure for this utterly devastating diagnosis. Her story can be found here http://www.fordaisyanddipg.com/. Sadly, in November 2014 Daisy got her angel wings; the day after her 7th birthday. But her inspirational legacy lives on in the work of Professor Gill who has spear headed this research. 

Funding Neuro raises funds to support this research and we would very much like to support this cause through donations instead of wedding gifts. We are fortunate enough to have everything we need for our lives together.
