Hi
One November morning last year I woke with a sore head after a late night out entertaining a client. Whilst delicately sipping my coffee at 6 in the morning my elder sister called to tell me that she had secured me a place to run the London Marathon. This was news to me as I had no prior knowledge that she was trying to get me a place and neither had I ever expressed a desire to do it! However, our relationship has always been one in which I do as I am told (particularly when weakened with a hangover) and so on the 26th April I will be joining thousands of other people running just over 26 miles.
Unfortunately, my best intentions of loads of training and a great time have fallen by the way side.... so I'm expecting a very long and painful run...
COBALT UNIT
Sadly cancer has and is affecting many close members of my family and friends. The Cobalt Unit is a registered charity for which my Grandfather (who is 94 this year) set up and acted as Chairman for many years. They are based in the Cotswolds and their aim is to:
- provide state of the art imaging for diagnosis
- promote awareness and prevention of cancers
- facilitate screening for cancer
- fund appropriate medical research
This year they have a £1mn CRACK BREAST CANCER appeal fund and your contribution will be much appreciated.
