My personal message:

Hi there

So, two years ago I failed to run thanks to a pulled muscle somewhere or other in my thigh.  Last year, though, I managed to finish in the rather frightening time of 3:34:19 (those 19 seconds really hurt).

And this year I'm feeling older and more sluggish - but I'm determined (a) to finish the race, (b) to beat last year's time and (c) to raise more money.

This time I'm running for Prostate Cancer Research - a failry small charity that does specialist work on one of the cancers that kills a lot of men but has never had the attention that some other cancers have had.

Giving through this site will make a real difference; it's simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Prostate Cancer Research Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!  Go on - be generous - and then double the figure you were first thinking of.

Many thanks for your support.
