Story

As you may gather from the photo, we successfully completed Trailwalker in an official time of 26 Hours and 22 Minutes.  You can continue donating until September so please give generously.

It has been announced that the official timings are wrong for some teams and as we suspected we actually finished in 25 Hours and 21 Minutes.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Hello,

A team of 4 intrepid idiots from General Dynamics UK Ltd are taking part in Trailwalker 2008 to raise money for Oxfam & the Gurkha Welfare Trust.

Trailwalker is a 100 Kilometre (62 Mile) walk/run/stagger/crawl from Petersfield to Brighton, along the South Downs Way, with only 30 hours to do it in.  As a team, we are aiming to complete it in around 25 hours; so allowing time for eating and for blister care there won't be any time for sleep.

Plenty of training beforehand will be required as the event is the equivalent of 2.5 marathons with an equivalent ascent of Ben Nevis thrown in! Last year only 80 per cent of the people who started finished. We are going to do our best and raise loads of money for Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Please give whatever you can, it all helps in the long run.

Our team target is £3000 so please dig deep and help us achieve this.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Oxfam Trailwalker will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
