200 miles of Mountains,Glens rivers and BOGS! A trail,not established, was a
big ask from the beginning and as we had attempted this journey practically one
year ago we felt a couple of steps ahead already! Conditions were the same
although the rainfall was considerably less and so with big heart,waterproof
skin and epic fitness we journeyed from Fort William/Corpach! Bothey's
bunkhouses and basic shelters were our sleeping accommodation for the period and each form of shelter was much appreciated! Unfortunately due to the extremes, getting lost,heaven forfend, a few times!!!! So much for all of us checking and rechecking the co-ordinates! Not being able to move during the night hours due to huge bogland etc. My companions had commitments elsewhere in the World so "cut off point" had to be Saturday! Disappointing,the journey was not to be completed,the Hills,Glens and indeed the Bogs,Midgies,Deer ticks were all laughing at us! Four fifths of it completed! Mum!!! A month please in the wild!!
Maybe next year ! Dropping off from the Tickled Trout then Leeds/Bradford
Airport arriving home a few hours later slightly subdued! Tis now a month since
the event or non,depending how you look at it,I miss the crisp clear
waters,clean air,silence hah! Roaring rivers gi-normous gushing
waterfalls,inquisitive crows,startled buzzards barking stags and howling winds !
Enough to make a grown man cry!!!!

Thanks to all that have contributed to the ever dwindling coffers! One of the photographs show just how close we were!! Corsica next year,R20 Ridge upon ridge upon glorious ridge! Just have to put aside the fact I do not like heights!
