Pennine Way Challenge · 1 May 2009

WYCE is working towards building a better education and healthcare system in The Gambia to eradicate illiteracy and poverty, and to improve living standards in the country.

Story

Chris and George are trying to tackle Britain's longest walk in less than 12 days.  272 miles and nearly 40,000 feet of ascents up some of Britain's bleakest hills make The Pennine Way "a bit tough". If you are up to attempting it in one go (most people just do sections), then the standard completion time is around 3 weeks, so 12 days might just be mad!

It's all for a fantastic cause, a small charity in The Gambia, which is helping form a blue print for village self-development in Africa. As we both know the amazingly selfless couple that run the charity, we can guarantee that every penny  we raise will make a massive difference to the lives of people out there. Check out more on the fabulous work they do at http://www.wonderyearsce.co.uk/

Please give what you can to spur us on when we are wet, miserable and aching in the peaks (no jokes now) this September.

Cheers!
