Cardiac Risk in the Young Verified by JustGiving
RCN 1050845 (England & Wales), SC052581 (Scotland)
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

CRY was founded in 1995 to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD); Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS, SADS).

Last year, my sister-in-law, Mel lost her fiance Andy to a sudden heart attack, caused by a undiagnosed defect.  CRY hopes to prevent others suffering the same loss and heartache that Mel and their son Harvey have suffered in the last year.

This year, I will be running, walking and if necessary crawling round the 13.1 miles of the Swindon Half Marathon.  Please help me help CRY to help others :)
