Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

We build a society in which autistic individuals feel understood and empowered to be their full self and live their best life.

Story

4hrs 48mins

I was popping painkillers like 'tic tacs' and can hardly walk today (tuesday) Well worth it for some fantastic memories the crowds are amazing.

Thanks

I have had a bit of an injury scare and have not trained for 3 weeks. I had an MRI Scan on my left ankle this morning and have been given the all clear to run. We thought it was a possible stress fracture (previously had stress fractures in both ankles) but the specialist could not see any new damage.

********INJURY UPDATE******** Did my last long training run (21 miles) 2 weeks ago and my ankle hasn't been the same since. Suspected Stress fracture and I will know more next week after a scan. I don't want to let anyone down so if I can't make this years marathon I am looking to do a 60 mile bike ride (July) and the Great North Run (Sept) Really gutted right now and I will give an update next week. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Children on the Autistic Spectrum Parents' Association gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now! Training up to 10 miles now and hoping to try a 13 mile half marathon distance next week. Glad the snow and ice has gone it was a nightmare to train.
