Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. We rely on donations to fund our work but with one baby admitted to neonatal care every five minutes we don’t have the resources to reach every baby who needs us. Your donation can help Bliss ensure every baby gets the best care.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

The London to Paris bike ride begins at Tower Bridge in London on the morning of 22nd August 2008 and finishes on 25th August under the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Reasons not to do this;

I drink too much

I'm too unfit

I'm overweight

it's a bloody long way to ride a bike

It's gonna hurt like hell

I can think of a hundred better ways to spend a bank holiday weekend.

Resons to do this:

It'll help me get fit

I'll loose weight

It'll be an adventure

It'll be a great excuse to celebrate afterwards with a drink

Most of all, with your help and support, I'll raise loads of money for BLISS (hopefully)

OK I've talked meself into it!

How the money you raise will help BLISS:
• £5 could provide telephone support for a distressed family.
• £25 could buy a complete set of information booklets.
• £50 could fund a neonatal nurse on a BLISS study day.
• £120 could provide a nursing bursary for a neonatal nurse

If you don't have any money then here are some suggestions:

1) Sponsor at least £1. (I'm sure you can find that in your sofa!!)
2) Give up lunch for one day £5
3) Stop smoking/drinking alcohol for a week £20 (I am doing you a favour here) ;)
4) Stay at home and not go out on a Friday/Saturday night at least £30.

For the people who are thinking what’s in it for me?

Well make me an offer and I will be willing to:

1) Clean your room/house.
2) Wash & polish your car.
3) Gardening.
4) Cook dinner for you
5) Been invited to a party and don’t want to go alone? - no problem sponsor me to be your date (women only sorry guys)
6) Make a suggestion and I may consider it

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BLISS will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
