OCHRE works to raise awareness of oesophageal cancer, a hard to treat, less survivable cancer. We fund research to support better outcomes. We work with health services and policy makers to improve understanding of the dangers of heartburn and the need for earlier diagnosis which can save lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running the Norwich Half Marathon on Sunday 27th November and also the London Marathon on Sunday 22nd April to raise money for Ochre - The Oesophageal Cancer Charity, this particular charity is one that is close to my heart due to losing my Grandad to Oesophageal Cancer. I've therefore decided that as a personal challenge to myself and to raise awareness and funding for the charity, I aim to raise in excess of £2000 for the charity.

As you may or may not be aware, I'm very keen on playing Rugby, therefore not especially built to be a runner! Training has begun and can already see that this is going to be a massive challenge, I want to run a decent time in both the half and full marathons and will keep you updated on my training progress!

So please dig deep and donate now...

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Just a quick update...off to Spain for a few days, taking my running gear with me, surely thats worth a couple of quid for dedication!?

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
