The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

I am taking part in a challenge event in aid of The Prince's Trust. Over 8 days, in the blistering heat of the Sahara Desert, along with four other team members, I will run 43 kilometres, cycle 66 kilometres, and take part in off road 4x4 driving, competing against other teams.

The aim of the challenge is to raise money for The Prince's Trust, a UK charity that helps young people overcome barriers and get their lives working.

It gives young people a chance in life. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, it helps 14-30 year-olds to realise their potential and transform their lives.

A donation of £2,500 would enable us to help a group of 10 young people facing difficulties at school. Your money would give these young people the chance to improve their confidence and motivation and get their education back on track.

Abi, who was helped by The Prince's Trust, said: "The Prince's Trust walked into my life and believed in me so I could believe in myself again."

I very much hope that you will be able to offer sponsorship for me to take on the Sahara Challenge, and in the process help us to change the lives of a number of disadvantaged young people. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Prince's Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.
