Story

Hey everybody, and thank you for coming to my fundraising page for the Great North Run 2009.

All money that I raise will go straight to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. I will be running for MND because my grandma currently suffers from the disease, and has done for several years. Also, my auntie, on the other side of my family, died from MND about 8 years ago.

Motor Neurone Disease is actually a group of progressive neurological disorders that destroy motor neurones, the cells that control voluntary muscle activity including speaking, walking, breathing, swallowing and general movement of the body. Thus MND causes the body to degenerate, but leaving the mind intact. Unfortunately, not much is known about MND, with the vast majority of cases occurring with no known cause.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Motor Neurone Disease Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, is added to your donation.

Thank you for coming to my page, and please sponsor me for however much you can, it will be very appreciated. Also, if you can, please come to Newcastle on the 20th September, and watch me in the Great North Run!

Thanks again!
