My story

Thank you for visiting my page and I hope you’ll donate a couple of £, $, € to FIND YOUR FEET.

FYF is a small charity, but one that does vital work in rural India and Malawi to support families living in real poverty to transform their lives and their community.

What does “real poverty” mean? Most of the families FYF works with survive on just 40p a day and, as you can imagine, struggle to meet their most basic needs of nutritious food, safe housing and medicines.

So, FYF aims to assist these families and people in 4 main ways:

·         FYF trains farmers in sustainable farming practices such as composting, organic pest control, irrigation, and soil conservation techniques.  These techniques improve harvests so families have food all year round and rebuild the soil for future generations.

·         FYF provides people with business and financial skills training, creating links to markets and developing saving and credit groups.  This enables people to set up small businesses that use local resources and have a local market.

·         FYF assists with access to vital services such as clean water, healthcare and education.

·         FYF works with the most marginalised groups – landless farmers, women, indigenous tribal people and dalits (formerly known as ‘untouchable’) – who face discrimination and are entrapped in chronic poverty.  By actively involving people in finding solutions to the problems they face, FYF projects enable people to build the skills and confidence to develop long-lasting solutions to their poverty

Whatever small donation you can afford will be massively appreciated and will have a real impact.
