Thanks for clicking through to my fundraising page for Moving Mountains.

As you will know I have been heavily involved with Moving Mountains for many years through my work in Kenya and Nepal. Full details about the charity can be found on the left or by going to www.movingmountains.org.uk

This year is a special one with Gavin one of the Trustees tackling Mt Everest for the charity. As part of his climb he has asked people to get involved by setting up their own challenge as a fundraiser for Moving Mountains to coincide with his own. So after thinking long and hard about various options and ways I could personally set a challenge and more importantly raise funds for Moving Mountains I found it difficult! However I think I've now come up with a plan which will mentally challenge me enough and hopefully encourage you all to stick your hands in your pockets!

My challenge is a huge step for me and to be totally honest, I think my decision to do this challenge is not altogether wise as it sits very uneasy with me however I have decided, after 18 years of nurture, that I will cut off my much loved pony-tail for Moving Mountains!!!

This is not a case of cutting it off because it's time, it genuinely hurts to type these words and the only reason is to raise a few pounds for Moving Mountains as I know first hand what a massive difference the charity makes to some really special people!

Agghhh! I've said it now, so no going back!...............

The Big Chop will happen around the end of May!
