<p>This year I am running Sheffield Half Marathon in Aid of the

<p>I have chosen this charity for two reasons firstly on a personal note I will be running in memory of my wife's late grandmother <strong>Beryl Shaw</strong> who sadly died in September 2011 after a short battle with brain cancer. Beryl was a wonderful lady and as fit as a fiddle until she was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April '11. To see her deteriorate at such a rate was very hard to take on all her family and friends, so I am running in her memory. We all miss her!</p>
<p>I have chosen the <strong>Seve Ballesteros Foundation</strong> as he was my sporting idol as a child and a true 'great'. Who was also taken from us trajically after his battle with brain cancer.</p>
<p><strong>Please give generously as this is a wonderful charity. All proceeds raised will go towards high-quality brain cancer research carried out by leading scientists for Cancer Research UK.</strong></p>
