We are running the 10k again this year for our lovely Chris McBride. It is now four years since Chris was killed in an unprovoked attack.

We still miss him madly and will not forget . . .

sharing a pint with him in the Pilgrim, the Lion, Rigby's or anywhere else selling beer

his political activism and withholding his tuition fees at Oxford in protest at rent rises

the surprise at seeing him for the first time after his hair cut

dancing in the Krazy House

his vegan diet punctuated with the occasional sausage butty after a night out

his dreams of a socialist utopia

his fancy dress moments from Sylvester the Cat to Darth Vader

his unfailing ability to accessorise an outfit with panache (not everything goes with purple cords)

his quick wit

the night he brought a chicken out on a pub crawl  

So far we have raised nearly £3000 in memory of Chris. This year we are again running for SAMM - Support after Murder and Manslaughter.
