Story

To my generous prospective contributors; I am currently in the process of raising money for the charity Himalayan Trust and Sport Relief.

The main project that I am partaking in to pull in your pennies is to climb to Everest Base Camp to play a world record  breaking game of cricket, which if completed will be the highest ever sporting match. In doing this, The Everest Test 2009 will set a new world record for the highest official team game ever to be played, as recognised by The Guinness Book of Records.

On the 21st April 2009 Team Hillary and Team Tenzing will compete in a Twenty 20 cricket match on the Gorak Shep Plateau, overcoming difficulties such as altitude and weather.

To complete this task each member of the 30 man squad will need to be in peak physical fitness.  As a result I have many painstaking hours of fitness ahead of me with small milestones along the way including the Three Peaks Challenge and the Bath half marathon.  To keep up to date with my progress , please check out my blog which I will update as often as time allows http://chrispalmereverest.blogspot.com/.

Thanks in advance for your kind donation and please be aware that all money that is donated, goes straight to the charities. All participants are paying for their own  travel and all  other expenses.

Kind regards,

Chris
