Story
Well what can I say........I’ve set myself another challenge in aid of Henshaws Society for Blind People.
This year along with the support of my friend Eric we have decided to cycle from Bowness-on-Solway to Tynemouth on mountain bikes. We will be setting off at dawn and aim to complete this challenge by dusk.
Henshaws provided much needed support to my niece Beth when she was younger. All funds raised from this exciting and challenging event will go directly towards the Children’s and Families Service in Manchester.
As you can imagine life holds many challenges for children and young people with sight loss as they struggle to access opportunities that their sighted peers are able to take for granted. A lack of resources, understanding and support compounds the problem; isolation and exclusion are often the result. Children with sight loss often struggle on without proper support, lacking the friendships and facilities that would benefit their personal and social development. At Henshaws they aim to make a difference through the Children and Family Services.
I would really appreciate any support you offer, it really does mean a lot to me and all of the Children and Families that are supported by Henshaws
Once again many thanks for your support
Chris
