Paris Marathon 2008 · 6 April 2008 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

One day Martin decided it would be a good idea for us to do a marathon, not really thinking about this I said yes. I now find myself in the situation where we are now 2 months away and the tickets are booked. The marathon is on the 6th April and is a 25 mile course around Paris.

Yes, I drink too much, eat too much rubbish, and its going to be very very hard. The more money raised, the more pressure there is on me to actually finish the race, so please dig deep! I have chosen to run for The Alzheimers Society as my gran died from this when when i was 7. Alzheimers is the most common form of dimentia in the UK, with 417,000 sufferers. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
