96.3 Radio Aire and Magic 828's Cash for Kids is dedicated to helping sick, disabled and underprivileged children in West Yorkshire. The charity helps individuals as well as children’s charities and charitable projects. In 2010 we raised £427,000 and aim to raise even more in 2011 with your help.

My name is Christopher Maltby and I was born with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy which means that the part of my brain that sends the messages to my legs to tell them how to work is damaged. This means that my leg muscles are always contracted causing spasticity which is really uncomfortable and quite painful at times.

I am unable to walk properly or dress myself and I fall over a lot because I can't balance.

My family and friends are trying to raise £58,000 to take me to America to see a specialist who can perform an operation to cure the spasticity and give me the chance of a normal life free from pain and dependency on others.

So please dig deep and donate now.
