I am taking part with 49 others in a charity bike ride which will cover more than 230 miles across the wild North Country between Newcastle and Carlisle and back between 24th and 28th June. This will include Hadrian's Wall, the Scottish Border and along the banks of the Kielder Water and through the Kielder National Forest.
This is an annual event to raise money for the Who Cares? Trust which is a registered charity which supports children and young people who are in care.
Last year we raised £45,000 all of which goes directly to the charity, and this year we would like to raise even more.
Check out www.thewhocarestrust.org.uk and www.bikingforchildrenincare.co.uk for information on the charity and pictures from earlier trips.
So every little helps, and larger helps a lot more so I hope I can count on your support. With only a week to go until the off, I am still a fair way short of my personal target of £600, so I do ask for your help.
Thanks
Chris
